OUR MISSION
To offer our services to increase computer literacy and skills among the youth and adults living in underserved communities, regardless of their religious beliefs. Zion Technology will operate in a manner that welcomes and encourages the community to utilize the technology services offered. We have the resources to aid in the increase of computer literacy for the community and we encourage all residents to submit suggestions and requests for the type of information that would be most useful to our user community. We are extremely excited about our upcoming IT upgrades for 2008 and beyond. The Zion Technology department will support the community with IT related requests, support and solutions. Our primary focus is to teach educate in the following areas of Microsoft products: |

PowerPoint. Powerpoint gives you everything you need to produce a professional-looking presentation. PowerPoint offers word processing, outlining, drawing, graphing, and presentation management tools- all designed to be easy to use and learn.
The following is a list of what you can do in PowerPoint:
- Create slide presentations
- Print audience handouts, outlines, and speaker's notes. - Import what you have created in other Microsoft products, such as Word and Excel into any of your slides.

Excel: Microsoft excel is a powerful spreadsheet program that allows users to organize data, complete calculations, make decisions, graph data, develop professional lookeng reports, publish organized data to the web, and access real-time data from web sites. There are four parts of excel:
- Worksheets
- Charts
- Lists
- Web Support You will be able to learn the basics of each part of excel and work independently on documents of your choice. Assistance will available if needed.

Word. Microsoft Word is a powerful tool to create professional looking documents. You will learn to use many of the word features including:
- Toolbar
- Creating/saving a new document
- Formatting Text
- Inserting a Table
- Inserting a Picture
- Inserting Page Numbers and date/Time
- Spelling and Grammar checking

Zion Technology will advocate and offer assistance to the surrounding community, enhancing their understanding and effective usage of information technology, Provide assistance and support to requests from community youth and adults that result in a technology based solution, enhance computer skills in the aforementioned areas.
Our intention is to empower the community with knowledge of the infinite possibilities of technology in the 21st century and to bring about awareness and hone computer skills for those individuals who have a need or a simple interest in learning a variety of computer skills.
Assistance
Assistance in the development of documents or general training will be available upon request .
Our aim is to provide the community with basic information technology needs through instruction/assistance. We will expose individuals to practical examples in computer technology with an introduction in document creation, worksheets, spreadsheets, internet, and an exercise-oriented approach that will allow learning by doing. We encourage independent study and will aid those who find themselves stagnant or unclear on procedures.
We hope that Zion Technology will help to keep the community stay abreast of the introduction of new technology.
